Oliver, his MPE-65mm, and a Shield Bug
I saw Oliver's snake photos a year or so ago and was really impressed. He promised he'd take me on a snake walk one day. Now I'm back up North again, and the snake walk happened today. Thanks Oliver!
But I had the wrong lens for snakes today. And for insects too. So I did the nest best thing and, uhmmm, photographed the photographers. Oliver's photographing a little green beetle here (a shield bug), as you can see. He's getting some stunning shots from that lens and flash system.
As a Nikon user myself I'm pretty jealous of Canon MPE users. I wish Nikon would make a super macro.
