Nuclear Fires on Planet Bubble (Macro)
I put my macro lens on this morning and photographed the sun reflecting off bubbles. I'm really pleased with some of these results. The macro lens (close-ups) shows a different side to bubbles, with the surface textures etc.
What I really wanted to do was to get the corona (that bright star) to fill the shot, but that's so difficult to do. I think coronas are a bit like rainbows - they don't get clearer just because you try and get close to them.
(If you want to try taking this kind of shot yourself, please BE CAREFUL OF YOUR EYES if you're using an optical viewfinder. The sun is bright and I'm willing to bet these sun reflections COULD BURN YOUR RETINA.)
