"I wouldn't go so far as to consider it fancy so much as it has refined taste." Almost awkward silence.
"Anyway, my name is Artagnan, and this is my companion, Firmin. We are currently on our way to Fagimburg, and have stopped here for a little respite."
"Fagimburg?"
"Yes, you don't sound too happy to hear that."
"Oh, it's nothing, I just ran into some trouble there recently, that's all. My name is Zenas."
"Nice to meet you. Are the authorities there after you or something?" I wonder how much they will offer if I turn him in...
"What!? No, no no. Nothing of the sort. Long story short, I was detained by several men who tried to force me to join their ranks."
"Ahh, so like a conscription." Oh, so an army deserter.... interesting...
"No, not really. But there is not enough time to go into all the details. In fact, I need to be headed back to my craft. My companion is waiting."
"Oh, so sorry to detain you then Zenas, Godspeed in your travels!" Never mind, just a normal, ordinary guy... somewhat.
