Silver Denarius of Septimius Severus (200-201 AD)
I have only cleaned this coin using a soft brush and rainwater.Annoyingly the pics so far refuse to show the definition as there is seen with the naked eye.
The details of the coin are as follows....
Septimius Severus (A.D. 193-211), Silver Denarius, Rome mint, (A.D. 200-201), laureate bust of Severus facing right, SEVERVS AVG PART MAX,The coins reverse is Septimius standing left in military dress, sacrificing with patera over tripod and holding spear, RESTITVTOR VRBIS ( Restorer of the city (Rome)
