String of memories

This is the lanyard my Father made for my emergency whistle many years ago when I first went walking in the English Lake District. . Without mobile phones or GPS we had to have a whistle to summon help in an emergency. The signal was six short blasts, repeated. The map is the 1" Ordnance Survey map of the Lake District, marked up with some of the routes I walked on that first trip. Composed for the theme ' intertwined'. Week #6 of " 52 in 2016"
