Utklippan harbour & lighthouse
Utklippan is a small flat rock formation (rather than an island) off the south coast of Sweden, not far from Karlskrona. Its surface has been smoothed by the glaciers of the last ice age and is now overgrown by lichen and small vegetation. It is populated only by crowds of sea birds and sea lions. The rocks form natural bathtubs with reasonably warm water in the summer, and you can slide into the sea on the slippery algae mats exposed at low tide. There is no catering, and the few houses seem to be reserved to ornithologists. To commute between the two parts of the island you have to use a rowing boat that can be found somewhere in the natural harbor - provided it is not in use.
