STEVEN IVY P.C. - Home Depot not the only company dealing with data breach issues --- Home Depot confirmed that 56 million payment cards were impacted in a data breach that lasted for five months. That number makes the Home Depot breach the largest retail breach to date, even larger than Target’s 40 million card breach.... According to the New York Times, former employees said that Home Depot was “slow to respond to early threats and only belatedly took action.” Additionally, in 2012, Home Depot hired a computer engineer who was since been imprisoned for messing with his previous employers’ computers.
