English part: Citizens’ Corner debate on fighting against terrorism

by euranet_plus

In May, the European Parliament approved new powers for Europol. Are these powers enough to boost the efficient fight against terrorism? How can equilibrium be reached between preventing terrorism, and fighting the phenomenon with fair and balanced methods, while observing EU citizens' rights?

Can the EU really avoid feeding racism and xenophobia; and on the other hand, does the EU work to diminish radicalisation - can it remove the online propaganda?

These, and other issues, formed the core of the two-panel debate first in Estonian, then in English, live from the European Parliament in Brussels.
