2017 Sydney: Chinese New Year Festival #3

Chinese New Year Festival, celebrating the Year of the Rooster

The Pentatonic Rooster, Tianli Zu

The Pentatonic Rooster Lantern is inspired by traditional Chinese instruments and the five-note pentatonic musical scale.

Its body is a gong, its head is a cymbal, its wattle a bell, its beak and leg are flutes, its feet are piccolos and panpipes form its comb.

The Zodiac symbol of The Rooster can be characterised as:

Honest, energetic and intelligent. Roosters love diversity. They are inherently optimistic and have their beaks pointed towards the future.
