Brúarfoss
Brúarfoss is not as easy to find and access as most of the other more popular and higher waterfalls in Iceland, but the way is totally worth it. After hiking for an hour cross-country through swampy meadows, dense underbrush and big swarms of flies we finally reached it. The Brúará river turns into a waterfall that is just about 2m high, but the way the water has carved its way into the underground makes it very interesting and scenic. The blue/turquoise color of the water is just unbelievable.
