joel trowbridge 1778-1862
6th plate daguerreotype in my collection of an identified man. That i researched and found to be Joel Trowbridge born october 17th 1778 in litchfield county Conn. He died december 1862 in ohio. he married october 1799 in Cornwall Conn to jane baldwin. Joel was left motherless when very young and was adopted and reared by a friend of his mother names steele. He became a miller and cooper in cornwall conn where he lived many years. Late in his life he went to his youngest daughters house in ohio and died there.
