what was he thinking about?

Another recent addition to my collection from the antique photo show in Washington D.C. is this elderly man. I love his expression he looks so confused or focused I can't quite tell lol. Great clarity and detail the scum on the bottom is from my hand touching the glass and I forgot to wipe it off but was to lazy to rescan.
