Clockwork
Photographic illustration project based on Brian Selznick's 'The Inventions of Hugo Cabret.' This sheet shows my Photoshop development to create cog joiners and Dan Mountford-style portraits. I used photographs and photograms of cogs, wheels and cogs as layers to represent how the character Hugo uses metaphorical clockwork language throughout the book to represent the way humans function.
