My Eye Soul

So Mark Maxwell here in Sydney often gives me a shove and a prod on Facebook - 'put it on flickr Rosie' . I am very much like a big ol' cow in a field caught up in one blade of grass that I absolutely need to be prodded and pushed sometimes.

Here I was this evening after spending so much of today (and the last couple of months to be honest) trying to come up with a clever Rosie way of storing/cataloging/filing photos.

I have external storage, so many folders on hard drive ,so many questions - should I move that shot into in 'street' /bondi/bronte/surf/waves/sunrise folder as it qualifies for all of the above. Then lightroom tells me photo is missing as I have moved photos in folders to external hardrive back files. I was in the middle of watching another tutorial on youtube just now on how to do it all ...PROPERLY...(lol ;)) and Marks message popped on my facebook page for this shot saying 'Put It On Flickr Rosie' and I thought I have to take a break and is there anywhere better to take a refreshing break than with my fine Flickrfriends :) .

I reckon once I 'crack' myself a system (that I actually remember and use) then it will free up a lot of time - that elusive thing . Or maybe...just maybe I should stop being so stubborn and go to some classes or something....but I'm not a classroom sort of gal. I remember when I first 'entered' lightroom I was terrified and took quite a while to become comfortable and get around it and use all the different sliders (still some to learn) and when I first came on here I was terrified, when I first went on Instagram I was...anyway you get the drift and now I look back and think gosh how comfortable I am now with them all....so this cataloging/filing/setting up a system that works nounsense will be mastered and tamed.

Now Friday morning was a rare combination of pretty cool sky and big surf - normally you get one or the other. So I thought I would change the title to My Eye Soul - as sky/ocean/beach is my eye soul and also as a dedication to the beautifully chosen username of Mark on flickr - keep up the prods Mark :) Go check out his shots and say hello :
