The path to Bulnes
You cross the river and go behind the little house then up through the gorge on a tiny path to Bulnes which take roughly 2 hours but is rather steep in sections as well as narrow. Bulnes is the most isolated village in the Picos and has no road access at all and only recently had electricity installed. There is a funicular railway (expensive) which links it to the village of Poncebos further down the valley. The inhabitants still use pack donkeys to carry their cheeses down to the market and take gas cylinders back up.
The tiny top of a peak you can see in the gap is "Picu Urriellu" ( Naranjo de Bulnes) 2519mts high and stands just behind Bulnes.
