( This is a special verse I hate seeing it messed up by lack of understanding the scriptures.) Matthew 16 v 18 And I say unto thee , That thou art Peter , and upon this rock I will build my church ; and the gates of hell will not prevail against it . KJV ( a wonderful promise and assurance that Jesus will prevail in doing Gods plan of building his church and Jesus is the rock absolutely, not Peter that’s just false interpretation, not really knowing the truth of the scriptures. Read Ephesians 2 v 19 - 22 v 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles ( not Peter alone ) and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone… there are more verses but this passage in Ephesians should be enough. 2 Timothy 2v19 ( no mention of Peter ) there is no other name in which we are to be saved , it’s Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Son of God . Even Peter would agree !
