Careful and prayerful study of the word is very beneficial , ultimately Gods spirit is the teacher of his word , but if we listen to men and do not check it out we could get deceived . Mathew chapter 24 v4,5 Luke 21v 8 Jesus warns us about the last times of which we are in . the last 400 yrs we have had a multitude of bibles and churches , that are not in agreement . Yet only one truth is possible .
