Going for what I thought was a trend in tuxwear back in the fall of 1997, when I was 23, I sported this number to an L.A. reception of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for its annual student awards. A team I was on in graduate school won second-place honors for a 22-minute TV special we created as part of our masters thesis.
