Some F-111s from Upper Heyford flew from Kleine Brogel during a Tiger Meet in 1985. Other 'tigers' were French Mirage F1s, German RF-4Es and Alpha Jets, Portuguese G.91s, Italian F-104s, USAFE F-15s, British Pumas and of course Belgian F-16s.
In the 1980s the Belgians were not as friendly towards aircraft spotters as they are today. So I had to hide in the bushes at a safe distance from the base. With my 200mm lens an F-111 filled half the photo. A Fouga CM.170 or Fiat G.91 however...
