F-86F RoCAF
Taipeh, 15 November 1994.
The Republic of China Air Force operated no less than 320 F-86F Sabres. This F-86 was one of the military aircraft on display in the Chung Cheng Aviation Museum in Taiwan.
There's is something weird about this one. On the fuselage it clearly reads 8609. On photos taken in 2010 the number is upside down: 6098. The full serial on the tail remained identical.
The museum was close to the airport terminal. Too close. In March 2014 the museum had to make room for a new airport terminal. The aircraft are now on display at a former airbase a few miles to the south of the airport.
