The Hercules is named Ben Swagerman after a pilot who became a war hero during the five days that The Netherlands resisted the German invasion in May 1940. He (23 years old) piloted a Fokker T.V medium bomber and managed to shoot down a German Heinkel and destroy another five aircraft. He was shot down himself, but took off in another T.V the next night and was shot down again and killed.
