SP-2H USN

Ten US Navy Neptunes at AMARC in June 1988. Most of them arrived here in the second half of the 1970s. Except the one with GF-code (EP-2H 148338 of VC-8) which arrived in 1980.

Surprisingly nine came out of the desert 'alive'. Only SP-2H 148340 LZ-3 was scrapped. Most left and became fire fighters at Greybull (Wyoming) or were used there for spare parts. The front one, 147957 was converted to fire fighter too and is now preserved as N14448 in the Pima Air & Space Museum down the road.
