Stockholm panorama from 80 m high tower in Kungsträdgården
For one month, in connection with the European Song Contest being held in Stockholm, a German company (CitySkyLiner) has put up an 80 m tall tower in the park Kungsträdgården in central Stockholm. Visitors are taken up in a revolving gondola, from which they can get a rare bird's eye view of the city.
Some years ago, a similar opportunity existed when a tethered helium balloon - anchored in front of the Army Museum - took people up as high as 200 m, but the view from there was not as spectacular.
