S/S Storskär off Waxholms Hotell
S/S Storskär is a steamship built in 1908 at the Lindholmen boatyard in Gothenborg. She was originally named S/S Strängnäs Express and plied the trade between Stockholm and Strängnäs. Waxholm Ångfartygs AB (Waxholmsbolaget) bought the ship in 1939 and renamed her Storskär.
S/S Storskär, which is Sweden’s fastest steam ship, is still in regular traffic in the Stockholm archipelago between May and September.
