An adventurous day trip, Tenerife, Spain

We made a day trip in a rented car. The first stop was a small mountain village, which until a few years before could only be reached by foot or on donkeys. Now, a new road had been built, so it was possible to reach it by car. It turned out to be an adventurous trip. Heavy rains had fallen for days. This made the road flooded, and rocks of different sizes kept falling on the road, even as we passed. We managed to reach the little village unhurt, though.

The electric power had been cut, but the little restaurant managed to turn out a delicious lunch.

Returning to the car, we found that a big rock had fallen on it, creating a big dent.

By then, the road back had been closed, so we had to continue north. I could not avoid one of the rocks still falling down, so I hit it and we had a puncture. It was scary to stand outside changing the wheel while rocks continued falling close by.
