Sailing with S/S Maria to Göta Kanal, Sweden
Maria was bought as a renovation project by a friend of my brother, a first mate in the Swedish merchant navy. After a year or two, she was condemned by the ship inspector, due to too much rot, so she was scrapped.
The bridge seen in the distance is, I believe, Mälarbron in Södertälje at the northern end of Södertälje Kanal (canal), which connects Lake Mälaren to the Baltic Sea. If it is indeed that bridge, it has been replaced by a newer bridge (two, in fact).
