Thai Pavillion in Ragunda, Sweden
This pavillion or temple is also called King Chulalongkorn Memorial. This illustrious monarch visited Sweden in 1897, where he attended the World Exhibition in Stockholm, and then toured the north of Sweden in a rented yacht. This was part of a successful European tour he made to win friends and influence, and above all to forestall Siam's being invaded by any of the imperialistic powers, like so many of its neighbouring countries. I read somewhere that it is the only Thai temple outside Thailand. Maybe that's true.
