DSCN5893 old chute

if you've been to the tetons you'll recognize this old barn, I found it to be fascinating....you can see the old cattle shute on the side. They are designed to be narrow at the bottom to help confine the animal with slider doors on the front and back to trap the beast for purposes of vaccinating and/or treating....off to the left was a ramp in order to drive them onto a truck or trailer, note the platform to help prod the cattle along to keep them moving up the ramp...corrals were designed to separate and work cattle......can you hear the bellowing cattle and cussing cowboys now ! and yes, even when I'm on a trip I clean my lens once in a while......just apparently not this trip.
