Orbit Coaches CNZ 4060
This was the beginning of a very interesting day that ended up having it all; rail replacements; demonstrators; depots; training buses and a few normal things thrown in for good measure. The fact proceedings began with an N94UD Omnidekka was probably a good sign!
Here on Queens Road next to the bottom end of Barton’s was seen Orbit Coaches of Leicester CNZ 4060, apparently heading for Nottingham station although it was going the wrong way for that. A short while later it passed again in the opposite direction, so perhaps it’d left Beeston and made a wrong turn?
Originally this bus was new to Metrobus carrying the registration YN53 RYT. Orbit have it painted in this pseudo-Brighton livery but with white instead of cream, in fact it resembles the N113s that PC Coaches had. It’s funny how several independent operators seemed to adopt Brighton & Hove livery (or a variant of it) as their own.
