Sleafordian LC07 TOM
From a bus called Tom to a bus called... oh, wait, I already did this. Seen on the very same day as the ex-Grimsby Trident is a former Nottingham Omnidekka bearing the same name. I was so pleased to see both that I ended up with a few alternative frames to the ones I chose to upload at the time, hence them reappearing for this upload.
A photo I’m particularly pleased with of LC07 TOM (YN07 EYZ) shows it at Broadgate, Lincoln, crossing the river bridge with the cathedral in the background. It was heading down to the bus station on 12.6.24 to work the once-a-month 44 back to Swineshead. After months of the same few Omnicities and Geminis coming round on the 33/44s, FINALLY I got the ex-NCT vehicle I was looking for.
This was a former local of mine, being new to NCT’s orange line 36 in 2007 as number 761. It later became a spare bus with an all-over advert for driver recruitment, before being sold when NCT were dumping off N94UDs en masse. 761 disappeared off the radar for a few years before surfacing at Sleafordian, and painted in their livery.
