The Pietrarossa peaks owe their name to the fact that the rocks that make up them are rich in iron and become particularly red in the early morning when the sun begins to illuminate the valley.

 

The effect is particularly beautiful because they are reflected in the nearby lake, but it only lasts a few minutes.
