Mmm, That Looks Tasty

Pied Currawong (Strepera graculina)

 

I hadn't intended to pick up the camera or post to Flickr today. But driving back from the shops today I noticed the 'First Avenue' Hobbies were around. So after waiting for the rain to clear I took the camera and wandered down to have a looksee. The Hobbies weren't around and it started raining again. As I looked for somewhere to shelter I heard the unmistakeable call of a Pied Currawong. There were a pair of them hiding in a tree. Once the sun came out again they led me on a bit of chase.

This is the first time I have seen Currawongs in our local area.
