Praying Mantis

 

After getting home from getting some bird images I put the macro lens on and ventured into the garden. As I walked past the Orange tree something fell on to my ear, thinking it was a leaf I brushed it off, only to find it was this Mantis. A species we see more often these days - they are usually found north of the Great Dividing Range.
