Seed/Fruit Fly (Austrotephritis trupanea)

 

I have no idea what species of fly this is. This is the only one I have ever seen and it wasn't keen on being photographed, subsequently this image has been heavily cropped.

If anyone knows I would be happy to know.

I liked the 'splotches' on its wings.
