I spent the last 6 hours training Tim. Dick had stopped by to teach time some acrobatic skills since that's not a speciality of mine. Dick and I have made up but we still don't talk much. Barbara and Dick are still a couple...last I heard they were planning on getting married but knowing Dick, that'll be a while.
"Bruce...can we take a break? I'm exhausted." Tim complained.
"I think you've earned yourself a break. You have 10 minutes. After that, suit up. We're going on patrol."
"Aw come on Bruce cut him some slack he just back from training with the Sensei 4 days ago and you're training him again." Dick injected himself into the conversation.
"Whatever." I said giving him a smug look.
Dick was right. Maybe I was pushing Tim's limits but I don't want him to end up like Jason. I see a lot of potential in Tim. Not just fighting wise but detective wise as well. Maybe, just maybe he can serve as a replacement for Batman.
"Tim" I yelled "You ready? Get on out here."
"Sorry Bruce. I was just making the finishing touches on my staff. Made it retractable. Much more efficient than the junk one Sensei gave me." Tim said showing me the staff.
Dick grabbed the staff and said
"Nice!! Smooth, compact, an I'm sure it packs one hell of a smack."
"Yes well we'll be able to test that theory tonight won't we?" Tim said laughing.
"Come on. We need to go." I said.
Right as we were getting ready to leave in the Batmobile, the computer was sent an alert.
"A fire at the Gotham Fire Department. Looks like Firefly is up to no good." Dick said.
"Well, looks like we get to squash some bugs tonight." Tim said eager to test out his staff.
"Looks that way." I said popping my knuckles
