Viola eminens, commonly known as stately violet, is a perennial shrub of the genus Viola native to southeastern Australia, (Wikipedia).

 

Viola eminens is typically a species of the high country in Victoria and far-southern NSW, often growing in subalpine swamps and in moist areas in snow gum and other high elevation woodlands and forest edges. (Kevin Thiele, private communication).

 

This specimen occurs at high level in Lake Mountain.
