Three detailed figures from the Aztec Hell.
1. An Atlas figure holding up the celestial heavens, exhorting another suffering soul with an Egyptian style speech glyph...as in..."This is the punishment you get for betrayal..."
2. A blue skinned priest exhorts a lost soul with a butterfly speech glyph, telling him... "The good souls will be resurrected, the bad souls are condemned to this hell forever".
3. A blue skinned priest, with enhanced blue coloring for definition sake only, reads a "rope testimony" of the human being's life. Good souls with good lives get reborn, bad souls will burn in the inferno of hell forever.
These are all my amateur interpretations, which I must say, seem plausible based on all that I have read.
