WHO WROTE WUTHERING HEIGHTS ?
In 1842 Branwell Bronte took part in a writing competition which took place at Crossroads Inn. The competition was judged by Branwell's friend Joseph Bentley Leyland. It has been claimed that during the event Branwell read a portion of Wuthering Heights, thus indicating that he & not Emily was the author. This claim first surfaced in 1861, however is not taken seriously in literary circles.
