August 9, 2003 -- just about 3 weeks away from Pablo's birth - I was playing guitar with a very Stonesy sounding, but original, band - "The Beggarz" - we opened for Mick Taylor of Rolling Stones ('69-'74 era) fame at the now defunct 360 Club on Queen Street West in Toronto --
Mick was the nicest, gentlest guy you could ever meet -- it was an insanely cool honour and an insanely cool pleasure to be there in that way. Mick played a key role in shaping the Stones' sound during what most would consider to be the height of their vast output over the last 40 years.
