'Crompton' 33030 storms through Taunton on 28/10 1975 with what I think is the Fawley to Plymouth Friary bitumen tanks freight. 47212 is stabled.
Full House! 33015 waits to depart with a train to Waterloo, plus 31180 sits on the down through and 50038 with a train for the west line up at Exeter St. D on 01/06 1979. Of course, the down through line was taken up many years ago......
33024 stands at Portsmouth Harbour with 1V38 to Cardiff as the night sky closes in.
Weymouth Quay. Eastleigh-based 33057 waiting to depart with 1W34, the 1500 "boat train" to Waterloo. The loco worked at least as far as Southampton where I alighted
33112+33209+33051 storm out of Clapham Jct on the ecs off a railtour, 03/09 1988
New Hythe signal box and upper quadrant signal with a Crompton lurking too. 23/03 1985
Weymouth Quay. 33118 waits before departure of 1W34 to Waterloo and formed of TC stock. 29/06 1985
Weymouth Quay. Earl Harold is loading with its bow up on the left, whilst 33110 just gets its nose in the picture having arrived with a train from Bournemouth.
Another Wednesday on the bash, so always worth covering the Crewe 'test' train. Today saw 37800 on test coupled with 33057 on 1D27 to Holyhead. Red-penned as far as Llandudno Junction.
'Slim-Jim' 33204 certainly shows off it's thinner build when seen here arriving at Salisbury on 1V46, the 0830 Brighton to Cardiff service (thanks GS). It was probably 'pen' as 33/2s weren't common at the time so I bashed it to Trowbridge....
33026 is seen here having just arrived on 2C42, one of the afternoon commuter trains from Temple Meads.
