Rock of ages….
This is the beautiful Stavanger Cathedral that I passed on a walk around the town. The stonework was amazing! “Stavanger Cathedral is Norway’s oldest cathedral and is considered the country’s best-preserved medieval cathedral.
It was built around 1125 and dedicated to Saint Swithun.
The cathedral has been in continuous use since the 1300s and remains the seat of the Diocese of Stavanger.
It is the only Norwegian cathedral from the Middle Ages that has largely retained its original appearance.”
