The wall....
This gorgeous old wall was spotted in a charming part of Blaye, France. “Blaye (Aquitaine, France) Situated on the eastern side of the Gironde estuary north of Bordeaux, Blaye is best known for its Citadel and for the red wine produced in the surrounding region.” Yes, we sampled that red wine! This wall and the interesting vine caught my attention and I asked a friendly inhabitant what kind of plant was growing there... “fruit de la passion” she told me. Seemed somehow appropriate for France!
