Nankeen Night-Heron, Nycticorax caledonicus, Jells Park- VIC ,April 2016

Had heavy rain the day before this was taken, intention was to find interesting changes after the rain , Dandy creek overflow was active and Lake was almost full,

 

It is not a usual sight to see heron roosting 20 meters up in the open. there was about four of them.
