Eastern brown snake (Pseudonaja textilis)

This snake is considered the world's second most venomous land snake based on its LD50 value. It is native to Australia, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. I can't believe that I was 6 feet from this guy and I didn't see it until Janet called out "snake."
