challenges and rewards

Winter paddling has it share of challenges - water so cold it drips off paddles like syrup, sudden weather changes, and so forth. But the rewards can be incredible. This day on Cultus Lake, we were the only boats on the lake for the entire 4 hours we were out. The light was interesting, and the mist hanging on the mountain slopes was pretty lovely.
