Disappointment

I was excited to bring my younger daughter to see Peyto Lake's amazing turquoise water. But when we arrived in the icy parking lot, it was obvious that the lake was still frozen. I left her photographing some friendly birds and postholed up to the overlook to grab a few images. Late May, 2015
