In all his works involving women Dalí focused on painting his wife Gala. It is well known that Dali worshiped his wife. In "Leda Atomica" she sits on a pedestal embracing a swan. It is a rare example of a woman, engaging in a non-sexual action with a tool of symbolism at her disposal.
