We have turned the world into gene splicing heaven

from food to vaccines

and everything in between

till our foods are tasteless

yet they look so pretty

and our vaccines are almost wasteless

so we line up like smart shoppers

buying what's on sale

no matter how pale

they make us feel

then they tell us not to complain

and to like it without giving blame

has no one heard the saying

you reap what you sow!

the seeds have been planted with care not to share

the truth of the reaping

which

will be in the weeping

of the sick and dying

waiting in line for gene splicing.
