bouquet disarray

hate is too great a burden to bear

said Dr King, not so long ago

what happens today

is a giant blow

to a man held in esteem

with a very special dream

our little flowers

children full of hope and innocence

hear about justice with fire and violence

those who can show the way

sit by silently although they have all the sway

they ignore the truth

that hate ties us up

in an evil thinking state

of just more and more hate.
