Taxco Mexico - Wedding Site for Silver Baron Jose Borda

Jose Borda arrived from France at age 16 to work in the silver mines in Taxco, which were almost depleted after hundreds of years. His burro discovered an unknown vein and Borda became very wealthy on the rejuvinated mining industry. He built the elaborate Jardin Borda in downtown Cuernavaca, later the summer home of Emporer Maxmillan and Empress Carlota.
